Faced with an uninspiring lineup of mass-produced, artificial relish, we gave up searching for a convenient replica of the relish our great-grandmother once made. Instead, we once again turned to the wisdom of our foremothers, resurrecting Granny Ida’s master recipes to preserve them and savor the authentic, handcrafted taste of what relish should truly be—and share it with others.
