Wholesale FAQs, Delivery & Returns

Everything you need in one place: how to order, what things cost, how delivery works, and what happens in the rare case that something is not right. If we have missed something, just ask.

How do I place an order?

Log in to your stockist account and your wholesale pricing appears automatically across the whole range. Add what you need to your cart and check out. That is it.

And if you would rather order the way you always have, a quick email or a DM, you are always welcome to. This is simply here to make life easier when it suits you.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimum order. We would rather you ordered what actually sells for you than filled a number to reach a threshold.

Do I have to order full cartons?

Relish jars, both 115g and 330g, come in cartons of 6. Food service tubs come in cartons of 4. Gift packs, candle sets and tea towels can be ordered individually.

Cartons can be mixed across flavours, so you are never stuck taking six of the same thing. If you would like any variation to our carton quantities, just ask. We are a small team and we can usually work something out.

What are the recommended retail prices?

Relish 115g $12.95, relish 330g $19.95. Petite gift pack $39.95, Grande gift pack $59.95. Petite relish and candle set $49.95, Grande relish and candle set $79.95. Linen tea towels $34.95.

These are a guide rather than a rule. You know your customers better than we do.

What about the 2kg food service tubs?

The tubs are made for kitchens rather than shelves, so there is no recommended retail price. They are for cafes, restaurants, caterers and anyone putting our relish into their own food, whether that is a burger, a cheese board or a catering platter. Order them in cartons of 4.

How do I pay?

Pay securely by card at checkout, or choose our Net 15 trading terms and settle your invoice within 15 days. Whichever suits your business.

How is delivery calculated?

Freight is calculated automatically at checkout, based on the weight of your order and where it is going, so you will always see the cost before you confirm. If you are in our Sydney local delivery area, we deliver orders over $200 free of charge, often ourselves. For remote destinations we will quote freight directly rather than guess at it.

How quickly will my order arrive?

We pack every wholesale order by hand in our Hawkesbury kitchen, and orders are usually dispatched within 3 to 4 business days. From there, most arrive within about 3 working days, with regional and remote areas sometimes taking a little longer. If anything is going to be delayed we will let you know rather than leave you wondering.

What shelf life will my stock have?

Every jar has a two year shelf life from the day it was made, and the best before date is printed on each one. We guarantee a minimum of 12 months remaining on any stock we send you, and because we cook in small batches it is very often closer to 18.

How should I store and display it?

Somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight is ideal. Our relish is naturally shelf stable thanks to age old preserving techniques and a low pH, so it does not need refrigeration until it is opened. One tip from experience: a sunny window is a beautiful place to display a jar, but strong light will fade both the label and the colour of the relish itself over time, so rotate your display stock.

What is the difference between relish, chutney and pickles?

A fair question, and one your customers will ask. Relish is chopped rather than pureed and cooked more briefly, so it keeps its texture and tastes bright and fresh. Chutney is cooked longer and slower until it turns soft and jammy, usually with more dried fruit and warm spice. Pickles are preserved whole or in pieces in brine or vinegar, and stay crisp. Ours are relishes, spoonable and chunky, made to sit alongside food rather than disappear into it.

Why does the colour or texture vary a little between batches?

Because it is real food, grown in soil and cooked in small batches. Tomatoes picked in February are not identical to tomatoes picked in March, and we do not use colours or thickeners to force everything to match. A little variation is a sign that nothing has been standardised out of it, and it is worth telling your customers that.

Why are some flavours unavailable at certain times of year?

We cook with what is in season. Spicy Nectarine is the clearest example: the nectarine season is short, so we cook it once a year and when it is gone it is gone until the next harvest. If a flavour matters to your range, let us know and we will give you a heads up before it sells out.

Are the products gluten free and vegan?

Yes, the whole relish range is naturally gluten free and vegan, all natural, and Australian grown and made. Everything is cooked in small batches in our Hawkesbury kitchen.

Have your relishes won awards?

They have. Our range has collected multiple medals at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, including golds. Award stickers and shelf talkers do genuine work in store, so if you would like some for your display, just ask and we will send them with your next order.

Do you offer territorial exclusivity?

We do not, and we would rather be upfront about that than have you find out later. As we grow we are always welcoming new retail partners, and we cannot guarantee another stockist will not open nearby. If location matters to your business, have a look at our Stockist Locator before placing your first order.

What if something arrives damaged?

Glass travels a long way to reach you, and just occasionally it does not survive the trip. If anything arrives damaged, send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we will sort it out, either by replacing it on your next order or issuing a credit, whichever you prefer. Please do not go to the trouble of sending damaged stock back to us. A photo is all we need.

What if something is missing or not what I ordered?

Let us know within 7 days and we will make it right, either by sending what is missing or crediting it. No fuss.

What if a seal is broken, or something is not right with the product?

Please do not sell it. Set it aside, tell us, and include the batch code printed on the jar. That code lets us trace exactly which cook it came from, which matters to us. We will replace it or credit it, and we will genuinely want to know.

Can I return stock that has not sold?

Because everything we make is small batch food with a best before date, we are not able to take back stock that simply has not sold. We know that is not always the answer a retailer hopes for, so if something is moving slowly on your shelf, talk to us before it becomes a problem. We can often help with a different flavour mix, a smaller size, or ideas that have worked well for other stockists.

Who pays return freight?

If the fault is ours, damaged, incorrect or faulty stock, we cover the cost of putting it right. In other circumstances return freight sits with you. In practice we rarely ask for anything to be sent back.

None of this affects your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Still have a question?

Email hello@womenswork.com.au and one of our small team will come back to you. We would always rather hear from you early than have you sitting on a problem.
